Meet Brody

Hi I’m Brody!  And I’m a Keeshond!

And I’m Lisa

and I’m Very proud to be Brody’s adopted Mommy.

I determined to research a highly trainable as well adorable dog because – who isn’t drawn to a well behaved dog?  And so Brody became my (mostly) well behaved “companion dog” for which I feel very privileged.  Brody should win the Huggiest Dog Award!  His favourite position is with his 2 front paws either side of your neck giving me a chest to chest, cheek to cheek doggy bear hug.  We just adore “hanging out” with each other.  But even better than this, Brody LOVES his training sessions (or is it just the treats he adores . . . ??!)

In his first year with – and purely self trained by me – we remarkably gained his Bronze, Silver & Gold “Good Citizen Dog Scheme” certificates in just 3 weeks (1 week apart).  For Crufts 2019 a lady and her prize dog stayed as my Airbnb guests in my home.  I was amazed when we walked our dogs in the park together to have her exclaim “You’re dog is better behaved than mine, and I’m competing at Crufts!  YOU should compete with Brody. . . !”  Just 5 weeks later she came to stay again for a local “Rally” obedience competition – this time with us both competing.  I was rather stunned that Brody was categorised as “Excellent” and came 12th and 8th in his first competition and that was just the start of the journey.  He has rapidly progressed in “Rally” competitions to Level 4 in just 8 months, earning “Excellent” in every competition, with 7 Rosettes (3 x 1sts) in the last 8 competitions and in the last 6 weeks.   Brody’s great achievements have been recognised in the Keeshond annual “Versatility Awards” by earning their highest award – the Platinum Award.  We are very proud and enjoyed every minute.
